Googlers Give program raises funds for MAHECAS

“GooglersGive”, the workplace giving program at Google has donated a total of £13,734.34 to Malawi Health Care Support (MAHECAS UK), to support our work. Through the kind efforts of Stuart McLaughlin, Anya Mhone and employees of Google, MAHECAS received two payments of £2,130.23 and £11,604.11 respectively.

Confirming receipt of the donation, Harry Mabaso, Secretary for MAHECAS UK said “We are truly honoured with your magnificent hard work and selflessness in raising such a fantastic amount for MAHECAS which will go a long way in improving health services in Malawi”.

On behalf of the MAHECAS UK Executive Committee and the wider membership of MAHECAS, Mr. Mabaso thanked Google sincerely for making time and effort to raise the donated funds.

“Your hard work has been noted with much appreciation and importance and was very much applauded at the Annual General Meeting held on 5 March 2016. You and Googler must rest assured that the money will be put to good use for the benefit of Malawian citizens back in Malawi. A tiny fraction will also be used to make the much needed improvements of our website, which are already underway” Mr. Mabaso added.

At MAHECAS UK, we are overwhelmed by the generosity of Google and honored to be doing work they care about. To find out more about the “GooglersGive” program, please visit: https://www.google.com/intl/en/giving/people.html.
