In March 2015 Malawi Heath Care Support (UK) donated surgical and orthopaedic medical supplies worth over K90million to some hospitals in Malawi.

Handing over the supplies Blantyre District Health Officer Dr Medson Matchaya who collected them from United Kingdom (UK) during a private visit, said the charitable organisation decided to source the surgical supplies after noticing that they are most needed in Malawi.

“These are essential in our hospitals and they are being donated to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital QECH , Blantyre Districk Health Office, Kachere Rehabilitation Centre, Chikwawa and Nsanje District hospitals”, said Dr Matchaya.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the recipients, QECH chief surgeon Dr Kondwani Chalulu thanked MAHECAS for the timey donation.
