With heavy hearts, we deeply regret to inform you of the untimely passing of our General Secretary Mr. Harry Mabaso. Harry passed away on 22nd July 2016 in London.

As the longest serving General Secretary of MAHECAS, Harry played a pivotal role in ensuring our charity’s activities are in line with our objectives. With tact, diplomacy and a dynamic approach, Harry always acted as an information and reference point for MAHECAS.

As a dedicated sportsman, Harry worked tirelessly over the years to bring our cause and fundraising activities to the fore. He run countless marathons and participated in numerous “Big Walks” to raise money, that has helped improve health services in Malawi considerably.

To recognise Harry’s contribution, the MAHECAS Executive Committee has decided that our annual summer “Big Walk” which has been rescheduled to 24th September 2016, will be in Harry’s honour. For more information about this walk, please click here.
